Mom Amigo Presents: The Art of Hospitality

Learning to Love People Well Through Intentional Gathering

Description

Every memorable hostess starts somewhere.

Whether you’re planning a simple brunch, a family dinner, a holiday gathering, or a special celebration, The Art of Hospitality is designed to help you host with confidence and purpose.

Over six interactive classes, you’ll learn practical skills for planning and hosting a memorable event—from the first idea to the final details. Along the way, we’ll discuss how thoughtful preparation allows you to spend less time feeling stressed and more time enjoying meaningful conversations with the people you’ve invited into your home.

Hospitality isn’t about having the biggest house, the fanciest decorations, or a perfectly set table. It’s about making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. My hope is that you’ll leave this course with both practical tools and the confidence to open your home with joy.

Meet Your Instructor

The Art of Hospitality is taught by a special guest instructor, Sharlette Key.

For more than 50 years, Sharlette has been welcoming people into her home and planning meaningful gatherings of every kind. She has organized well over 100 events, including weddings, holiday celebrations, birthday and anniversary parties, ladies’ luncheons, community events, and family gatherings.

Today, she continues to share her love of hospitality by volunteering with Bee Happy, a nonprofit day program for adults with intellectual disabilities, where she teaches cooking classes and helps coordinate special events that support the organization’s mission.

Sharlette believes that hospitality isn’t about perfection—it’s about making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. She is passionate about encouraging women to open their homes with confidence, serve others with joy, and create meaningful memories around the table.

We’re delighted to welcome Sharlette as our guest instructor for this special Mom Amigo course.
