Description
Story Explorers is a small-group book club where young readers gather to discover timeless stories, share ideas, and experience the joy of reading together. Each session features a beloved classic children’s novel that encourages imagination, thoughtful conversation, and a lifelong love of books.
Our first adventure will take us to a quiet farm where we’ll meet Wilbur, Charlotte, Fern, and a cast of unforgettable friends in E. B. White’s treasured classic, Charlotte’s Web. Together we’ll follow Wilbur’s remarkable journey while exploring themes of friendship, kindness, courage, and the power of selfless love.
This class is designed to help students become more confident readers through meaningful conversations rather than worksheets or tests. The focus is simply to enjoy a great book in the company of other young readers.

The Fine Print
Attendance
Story Explorers is designed to be an interactive discussion class. Because each meeting includes unique conversations and activities, missed classes cannot be made up.
Missed Classes
If your child is unable to attend, I will provide a brief class recap so they can catch up before our next meeting. This recap may include discussion highlights, important announcements, and reminders about the next reading assignment.
Reading Between Sessions
Students are expected to complete the assigned reading before each class so they can actively participate in our discussions. A reading schedule will be shared before the course begins.
Technology
Students should join class with a working microphone and camera whenever possible so everyone can participate in our conversations.
Class Size
To encourage meaningful discussion, Story Explorers is intentionally kept small so every student has the opportunity to participate.
Participation
Every child is encouraged to participate, but no one will ever be pressured to speak. Some students enjoy sharing often, while others prefer to listen and contribute when they’re ready. Both are welcome in Story Explorers.
