What We’ll Do Each Week:
Each class includes interactive storytelling, discussion, and exploration as we:
🌎 Discover where each animal lives and what its habitat is like
🍽️ Explore what it eats and how it finds food
🍼 Learn how it raises and cares for its young
🔎 Investigate fascinating adaptations and survival strategies
💬 Discuss what makes each animal unique
🌿 Consider how each animal fits into the larger rainforest ecosystem
✨ Discover surprising facts and stories about the natural world
Continue the Journey at Home
After each class, families will receive a follow-up email with carefully selected books, videos, and optional resources to continue exploring the featured animal together at home.

Animals of the Amazon is designed to inspire curiosity about the natural world while helping students develop a deeper understanding of animals, habitats, adaptation, and the remarkable diversity of life on Earth.
The Fine Print
Attendance
Animals of the Amazon is designed to be an interactive discussion class. Because each meeting features a different animal and topic, missed classes cannot be made up.
Missed Classes
If your child is unable to attend, you will still receive the weekly follow-up email with books, videos, and additional resources to enjoy at home. I will also include a brief class recap so your child can stay connected with the series.
Technology
Students should join class with a working microphone and camera whenever possible so everyone can participate in our conversations.
Class Size
To encourage meaningful discussion, Animals of the Amazon is intentionally kept small so every student has the opportunity to participate.
Participation
Every child is encouraged to participate, but no one will ever be pressured to speak. Some students enjoy sharing often, while others prefer to listen and contribute when they’re ready. Both are welcome in Animals of the Amazon.
